Problem Note 40146: An Incompatible types in object assignment error occurs when
batch code contains a Group Processing node
If you are running a batch program created in SAS® Enterprise Miner™ that contains a Start Groups and an End Groups node, then you might see the following error:
*** Line 126: [ERROR: #579] ERROR: Incompatible types in object assignment.
Program returning prematurely at line 126
AF Program: SASHELP.EMPFLOW.TRAVERSER.SCL
*** Line 508: [ERROR: #114] Unable to perform requested function.
The problem is that the batch program cannot handle the by-group functionality that the GUI can handle.
To work around the problem, remove the Start Groups and End Groups nodes from the flow, and then recreate the batch program.
